Ferrosilico manganese
Common Ferroalloys
Product information:
Ferrosilico manganese, abbreviated as FeSiMn, is a chemical compound obtained by combining silicon with manganese. Once these components are combined, this ferroalloy can be used to produce a wide range of specialty steel alloys.
Common Classification and Chemical Composition:
Ferrosilico manganese is categorized into two main types based on its carbon content: Medium Carbon (MC) and Low Carbon (LC).

Standard Chemical Composition:
FeSiMn: 70% Mn, (18-20)% Si, 10% Fe
Major Applications and Uses:
- Suitable for continuous charging in large, medium, and small blast furnaces.
- Improves strength and toughness across all steel grades.
- Complete deoxidation of various types of metals and steels.
- Reduces impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, and nitrogen during the steelmaking process.
